Valentine's Coming Up

With Valentine's Day coming up I have been working on a few card designs which I will aim to sell through an online greetings card company.

I wouldn't be surprised if there weren't quite a few Alien cards out there and probably similar to this although I'm hoping this particular one conveys a certain feeling.

This one works because the girl isn't too girly !!

I really like the blue here. It reminds me off the Dick Bruna/Miffy books. It may need some thing else in the foreground although I'm keen to keep it simple.

End of 2011 - Migraine

Had a pretty good Christmas but saw the last few days of 2011 out with a Migraine.

I've suffered with this foul condition for many years but on Dec 28th, decided to try and visualize what the beginning of going into the 'M' zone actually feels like.

For me, it normally starts with a stiff neck that rises. There's a horrible drained feeling and a sensitivity to sound, then the shuddering starts. Quite often I end up vomiting several times and able to do nothing but lie in bed.

During a migraine I'll put my hand over my head and it feels as if I could fit my head within the palm of my hand... a bizarre shrunken head sensation...

This condition is remarkably common. I regard it as a huge waste of time but after I've had one, I get an enormous amount of energy and a lot of work done!!

I have been working on these for over a year.
