She Looks Pale - Madame Bovary

A rather long - necked, sick looking Madame Bovary. A detail from a pen and ink drawing created in 2010. At the time, I was allowing any minor mistakes ie ink blots, to remain, in my work.

I like the fact that the negative space exhibits the texture of the water colour paper. 

There are a whole series of these red and black ink drawings, produced over a period of several months (during 2010). I was aiming to hold an exhibition and sell them - but I couldn't bear to part with even one !

Another Illustrated Talk

I completed illustrating this talk around a year ago. Not sure why I didn't post it before. There are two other illustrated talks on this blog : The Importance of Making Things and Extreme Longevity.

This one covers meat, grown in a laboratory. Could be the future !!
